Where is your safe space? Do you have mood music? Many authors are heavily influenced by their environment when they write. My other writing influences include Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, Clive Cussler, Dean Koontz, Louis L’Amor and, of course, Tolkien. What were your influences? Is there anyone from your genre you especially admire? Little did I know that I was setting out on a story that would dominate and consume me for over a decade.Ģ. I had always enjoyed a good Fantasy story and one day in 1998 I decided to try my hand at it.
